Thousands of men and women leave the construction trades every year and there aren’t enough young workers to replace them. For every four people who leave the trades, only one replacement is supplied by apprenticeship programs.
Which is why if we want our state to continue to prosper, we need new blood to continue to build our country from the ground up.
The CEFA pre-apprenticeship program can help qualified 18-24 year old young adults begin a career in the skilled trades. This highly-specialized training is completely free to those who qualify.
In this program, participants will have the opportunity to choose one of three trades: HVAC, Electrical, or Pipefitting. Along with skilled trade training, participants will receive extensive employability skills training, a week of paid job shadowing, achievement based incentives, and tools of the trade.
The deadline for application is next Friday, November 20. Space is limited, so apply as soon as you can. For more details, call Pam Williams at 205-956-0146 or email email@example.com. Download your pre-apprenticeship application here.*
*All applicants must have a high school diploma/GED and will be drug tested.
